Holiday Makeup Looks For Zoom by Makeup Artist Rachel Bellew
Zoom holiday parties may be our best option for connecting with family, friends, and coworkers this year.
Holiday makeup is all about the glitz and glam. We worked with Los Angeles makeup artist Rachel Bellew to create 3 easy to do makeup looks that will look great on zoom.
Holiday Chic
"First you're going to want to prime your skin. I love using Oxygenetix Hydro-Matrix. Not only is it a great moisturizer for your skin, it also creates the perfect base for a smooth foundation application."
One of the best foundations for being on camera, like for being on zoom, or if you have a family holiday photo shoot coming up, is Oxygenetix Oxygenating Foundation."
"When you're doing makeup for zoom your features can get lost through the camera so I like to do a light contour to bring more definition back to the face. My favorite and I think the easiest way to contour is with a foundation that is 2 shades darker than your normal shade. Apply this darker foundation to areas where you want more definition, like your cheekbones, the perimeter of your face, and either side of the bridge of your nose. Using foundation for contouring makes it easy to blend and looks flawless."
"Because it's so good for your skin I love using it on my clients."
"Style and fill in your brows and apply mascara to define your eyes. This is an important step to help liven up your eyes when you're on a conference call.
Top off this holiday look with a red lip."
Holiday Glitz
"Brighten your eyes with some fun eyeshadow. I love to pair a red lip with a rose gold eye. But you can use any metallic shadow you have that works best with your skin tone."
"Don't be afraid to bring the shimmer shadow to the lower lashline to really make it pop! You can also add a winged liner to help define the lash line."
Holiday Glow
"If you like a dewy look, or want to counteract your dry winter skin, you can combine Oxygenetix Hydro-Matrix with your foundation."
"To create a mixture with your foundation, mix Hydro-Matrix with your foundation on the top of your hand and apply to your face with a damp beauty blender. The combination will give your skin a natural dewy glow.
For extra glam add some sparkle to your rose gold eyes with a glitter pigment. I like to use my finger to tap it onto the lid so the glitter doesn't fall on your face or get in your eyes."
Have fun with your look and enjoy the time you have with your family and friends on and off zoom this holiday season!
