How To Cover a Pimple with Makeup That Actually Unclogs Pores

One of the most frustrating thing you can go through when breaking out is figuring out how to cover your pimples without making them multiply or get worse. Luckily, with Oxygenetix you don't have to worry.

Formulated with aloe barbadensis, and breathable ingredients, Oxygenetix Oxygenating Foundation and Acne Control Foundation are ideal for those who have skin conditions they wish to conceal.

Here are the steps to covering your breakouts with Oxygenetix.

1 - Start with a Clean Base

In order to ensure there is no bacteria or debris on your skin before you apply your makeup, cleanse your face first with a gentle cleanser and toner. There are many options on the market. Look for cleansers that don't strip your natural oils as these will trick your skin into producing more sebum, therefore creating more breakouts. Instead, look for gentle cleansers that leave your skin hydrated and are recommended by dermatologists.

After your skin is cleansed thoroughly, pat your skin dry with either a disposable face towel or clean towel. If you have acne-prone skin, it's important to avoid using the same towel more than once since the acne-causing bacteria will transfer.

Next, tone your skin with a gentle exfoliant. By using a daily exfoliant, the dead skin and debris on your skin will get dissolved, lessening the chances of pimples forming. There are great ones on the market that have BHAs and AHAs. Choose one that your skin can handle on a daily basis.

2 - Moisturize to Prime

Even acne-prone skin needs daily moisture. It may be tempting to dry out your skin, especially when you have an oily complexion, however what this does overtime is strip your skin's moisture barrier, making it hard to remedy in the future. Moisturized skin is healthy skin, and with the right type of moisture, your skin will be more resilient to bacteria and will feel so much better.

Moisturize day and night with something that is non-comedogenic, has no fragrance, no added oils, and is made with powerful hydrators. Oxygenating Hydro-Matrix and Acne Control Hydro-Matrix both make great moisturizers for acne-prone and sensitive skin. Acne Control Hydro-Matrix has added 2% Salicylic Acid which can contribute to the reduction of whiteheads, blackheads, and clogged pores.

One of the best benefits of Oxygenetix Hydro-Matrix is that it plumps the skin and doesn't feel greasy, leaving your skin primed for your makeup application.

3 - Conceal Pimples With Oxygenetix Oxygenating Concealer

Oxygenetix new Oxygenating Concealer has the same breathable formula as Oxygenating Foundation, but it has much higher density pigment. One pass of Oxygenating Concealer is all you need.

To apply Oxygenating Concealer on your breakouts, use a clean small makeup brush like Oxygenetix Slanted Precision concealer brush. Dab a small amount of concealer onto the skin and use a tapping motion to set. Allow the concealer to set before applying foundation on top.

4 - Blend your skin tone with Oxygenating or Acne Control Foundation

In order to blend your concealed pimples in with the rest of your skin's tones, apply your favorite Oxygenetix foundation shade on top. Both Oxygenating and Acne Control Foundation are great choices for acne-prone skin, but Acne Control Foundation has the added bonus of more Salicylic Acid to actively exfoliate for smoother skin.

The best way to apply Oxygenetix foundations is to tap it onto the skin with a clean brush or sponge. Oxygenetix Smooth Finish foundation brush was uniquely designed to be used with Oxygenetix foundations.

Make sure your brush is sanitized before each use, and if you are using a sponge we recommend a new one every time.

By tapping the foundation onto the skin you can achieve full coverage by applying in thin layers. Wait about 60 seconds between layers and enjoy a breathable full coverage finish.
