Try an Audrey Hepburn-inspired beauty look
The 4th of May is a fun date for Star Wars fans, but it's also a notable day for Audrey Hepburn lovers too. This year marks what would have been the screen icon's 88th birthday, so we're remembering Audrey by embracing her timeless beauty and elegance.
Lips
Audrey apparently once said “for beautiful lips, speak only words of kindness”, but as well as her kind words, she also made the most of her lips with different shades of red. Never a fan of a pillar box colour, Audrey went for more subtle hues that still packed a punch. Try Lin&Lo Mineral Makeup Matt Lipstick in Deep Red for an Audrey worthy pout.
Eyes
Audrey helped spearhead the gamine look of the '50s and '60s, and her wide eyes were a staple part of her look. Make your peepers look bigger by adding a white liner to your waterline and mixing a light grey eyeshadow with a natural shade to make your eyes look deep set. Then it's time for Audrey's famous winged black liner. Grab a pen-like liner, such as Fairydrops Cat Liner, which is easy to apply and draw out into a slight flick. Add a little white pencil under the flick to really make it pop. Lastly select a pair of flirty falsies, we're loving Eylure's new Luxe lashes, to make eyes flutter.
Brows
One of the Breakfast at Tiffany's star's most iconic features were her bold brows. Her full and defined eyebrows are still coveted today, and are easy to achieve with a blending brush. Define the edges of your brows with your product of choice, we like Pixi Natural Brow Duo and Barry M's Eyebrow Kit, and then soften the edges with a firm blending brush.
Face
Her glowing skin made the actress look eternally youthful, and she never needed to cake make-up on as her natural radiance always shone through. Opt for a lightweight foundation like Oxygenetix Oxygenating Foundation, a breathable formula which still gives full face coverage. Add a little highlighter onto your cheekbones for a truly illuminated finish.
