Hate getting a foundation-smudged iPhone screen? This product promises to banish that
OK, we're aware that this is a complete #firstworldbeautyproblem but does anyone else find it supremely annoying when you put down your iPhone after making a call only to be left with a foundation-smudged screen? It's annoying, revolting and also quite embarrassing when the phone does not belong to you.
Dermatologist Dr Stefanie Williams says that this modern-day nuisance can also be unhealthy for the skin. “When you place the phone on your skin to make a call, your skin will start to perspire more which can contribute to trapped oil and blocked pores,” says Dr Stefanie. “Mobile phones will also contain dirt and leftover make-up, which won’t help either.”
Thankfully, one beauty brand has a product designed to take away this modern day beauty woe. Oxygenetix Oxygenating Foundation is billed as smudge-proof for iPhone use. And if anyone can produce a foundation that won't leave you giving your iPhone a sneaky wipe off on your jeans, it's Oxygenetix. The brand is loved by Hollywood make-up artists for its foundations’ long-lasting coverage and matte finish and used on the set of shows such as Glee and Entourage.
Oxygenetix foundations were originally designed for doctors and intended for use on people who had undergone chemical peels. Aloe-based, they contain a patent-pending ingredient called Ceravitae, which promotes collagen cell production in aging skin.
Cosmetic Skin Doctor Dr. Terry Loong has long been an advocate of Oxygenetix. She says: “As Oxygenetix was first formulated for use post-procedure, it was necessary for it to have a long-lasting, smudge-proof formula as it removes the need to touch it up and irritate skin through re-application. It also doesn’t melt in hot lights, giving post-procedure patients assurance that their full coverage will stay intact. Now used cosmetically by a wider audience, we can all benefit from the smudge-proof formula."
As the Oxygenating Foundation is a breathable product, it can also be slept in (though we wouldn’t suggest you do so). Sweat-proof, water-proof and smudge-proof, it is also full of skin-friendly ingredients (but still not as skin-friendly as a good old end-of-day cleanse and tone).
